Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival, our team warmly welcomes you and assists with your initial permit at the hotel. In the evening, explore lively Thamel Street known for its diverse restaurants, casinos, and shops offering trekking essentials.
Day 2: Kathmandu to Machha Khola Drive
Start early from Kathmandu for a scenic drive to Machha Khola. Enjoy breathtaking views of Marysyangdi and Trishuli Rivers along the Prithivi Highway. The journey includes rugged terrain as we follow the Budhi Gandaki River, passing Dhading Besi and Soti Khola to reach Machha Khola, surrounded by Gurung and Magar settlements.
Day 3: Machha Khola to Jagat
Today's trek follows the river's path, with ascents and descents, crossing the Tharo Khola to reach Khorlabesi. En route, take a break at a hot spring before crossing the Budhi Gandaki on a suspension bridge to reach Jagat, where cozy teahouses await.
Day 4: Jagat to Deng
Traverse through Salleri, Sirdibas, and Ghatta Khola to enter the Gurung village of Phillim. Pass maize fields and bamboo forests, crossing the Budhi Gandaki multiple times before arriving at the serene Deng village, surrounded by scenic landscapes.
Day 5: Deng to Namrung
Depart from Deng, immersing yourself in the culturally rich trail. Pass through lush forests and alpine vegetation, experiencing the ethnic charm of Manaslu's villages. The trail leads via Prok, providing stunning views of Siringi Himal. Encounter gompas along the way as you cross the Budi Gandaki, eventually reaching the Manaslu Conservation Area and Namrung.
Day 6: Namrung to Syalagaun
Immerse yourself in the Nubri culture, passing through mani walls, terraces, and traditional houses on the way to Syalagaun. Marvel at the Tibetan-influenced architecture and take in panoramic views of Manaslu and Manaslu North.
Day 7: Syalagaun to Samagaun
Traverse forests, barley fields, and valleys, catching glimpses of Ganesh Himal and Himal Chuli. Pass through picturesque villages like Lho before arriving at Samagaun, offering serene teahouse accommodation.
Day 8: Acclimatization at Samagaun & Day Trip to Manaslu Base Camp
Day 9: Trek to Samdo
Start the journey early, heading up the valley towards Samdo. Crossing streams on slick stones and frosty planks, the valley rises steadily. The landscape changes to reveal snowy peaks and tough, prickly bushes among dry yellow/green grass. Upon arrival at Samdo, check into accommodation, have lunch, and explore winding roads lined with brightly colored stone cottages adorned with prayer flags.
Day 10: Samdo to Dharamsala
Start by crossing Larke Bazaar's Tibetan market and head towards Budhi Gandaki River. Traverse a wooden bridge for a view of the Larkya glacier. Proceed to Salka Khola's valley and ascend to Dharamshala, passing several monasteries.
Day 11: Dharamshala to Bhimthang via Larke La
Expect a challenging trek amidst glacial lakes, traditional villages, valleys, and diverse flora and fauna. Marvel at Cho Danda and Larkya Peak views, cross moraines, and reach the Larkya La pass for stunning vistas of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, and Annapurna II before descending to Bimthang.
Day 12: Bhimthang to Gowa
After the demanding Larke La Pass, enjoy a pleasant downhill walk through rhododendron, pine, and oak forests. Pass farm shades and enter the forest surroundings leading to Gowa for a relaxed overnight stay.
Day 13: Gowa to Dharapani
Following breakfast, descend through steep trails with beautiful views of Marsyangdi Khola. Pass villages perched on hillsides, traverse picturesque rhododendron and pine forests, and arrive at Syange for your last night on the trail.
Day 14: Dharapani to Beshisahar and Drive back to Kathmandu
Begin the day with breakfast in Dharapani, then drive by Jeep to Beshisahar. The journey to Kathmandu via Besi Sahar offers scenic views of the Marsyangdi and Trishuli rivers, with glimpses of hillside villages and farming terraces along the way.
